As a virtual assistant and business owners of 2+ years, I know how important having the perfect space for your work from home office is! If you don’t have a big budget to build your home office, that’s okay! We are starting with my 3 must-have work from home essentials that make your space at home transformed into a productive, boss, CEO energetic space!
1. You need a standing office desk.

Look, let’s be for real. When you are starting your business, starting your virtual assistant business, or really any online remote job, you are going to be at your computer for a WHILE. Having a standing desk breaks the monotony.
Instead of feeling your butt fall asleep or even you fighting sleep in general, having a standing desk allows you to move your body throughout the day and become less static. Movement is self-care and having a standing desk allows you to easily incorporate this.
Even if you don’t use your standing desk all the time, it’s a great future investment! If you want to buy a walking treadmill in the future or switch your chair out for a workout ball, you will be able to have the flexibility without having to buy additional accessories. Plus, most standing desks have warrant! I’ll link my favorite standing desk here. I’ve had mine for years with no problems.
2. Your Wall Calendar is simple yet SO helpful.

I can’t function without my calendar. While you should maintain your digital calendar (via Google Calendar or Apple Calendar), having a physical reminder of any follow-ups, to-dos, meetings, appointments, etc. is incredibly helpful. Especially when you have so many moving parts in your business.
Add a physical calendar into your life and home office and you will see an increase in your time management skills and work productivity. You don’t need to have everything stored in your mind, I promise you that will have you going crazy!
Little pro-tip: add in your quote of the month or write out your goal. This is a great visual spot to see everything going in your life and things you want going in your life in one place! Here’s my absolute favorite calendar, get it while it’s in stock!
3. Additional Storage Drawers.

A clean desktop makes for a happy mind. When my business gets hectic or busy, my desktop gets messy. Pens, sticky notes, cups all over the place. Having a spot where all of your small items or accessories go is soooo clutch. You won’t realize how much you wish you had storage space until you don’t have it!
I use these storage drawers, a cheap addition to my standing desk that allows me to store my mouse, notes, pens, blue-light glasses, etc.
