I have run my virtual assistant business and have been in the online business world for over 2 years (almost 3 OMG)! I’ve purchased, regretted purchases, tested all the free trials, and played with dozens of virtual assistant business platforms.
I want to save you time and money. Signing up for a 1 year subscription for the savings and you end up hating the platform is actually the WORST! I actually have a platform discount page, check it out here! Alrighty, let’s get into it! As a business owner myself, these are the top 5 game-changing platforms your virtual assistant business needs!
This post is all about the best platforms that every virtual assistant and online business owner needs to know about.
1. Honeybook
Okay starting off strong, Honeybook is literally the first assistant you’ll hire in your business! She’s intuitive, utilized AI, has so many automations, smart features, and is basically a combination of a ton of platforms in one!

The number one thing most virtual assistants are worried about is “looking professional”. As in having a solid proposal, a seamless onboarding process and a lead form that’s better than Google Forms.
Honeybook surpasses that. This is your client relationship management (CRM) tool. You can schedule meetings, collect leads, automate reminders, send and collect invoices, request signatures, and more!
When I say you need Honeybook, I mean it! Here’s 30% off your first year of Honeybook, use the free trial! I bet you’ll stick with it after you do!
2. ClickUp
When your business grows, you want a system that grows with you. That is 100% ClickUp. ClickUp is a task management platform, similar to Trello, Asana and Notion, but in my opinion it’s the best. You are able to build out SOPs, track tasks, add assignees, due dates, build out content calendars, collaborate with your clients, build out dashboards and more!

ClickUp as allowed me to grow from a Solo Virtual Assistant to an Agency seamlessly.
3. Canva
If you haven’t heard of her before, Canva is QUEEN. Canva is a design platform that will allows you to organize, ideate, and facilitate your creative vision for your business! Any social media posts, graphic designs, photos, reels, etc., can be created in Canva! I have had Canva Pro for the longest, but there’s a lot that you can do for your virtual assistant business for free!
There are also a lot of fun AI features you can utilize! Like below I asked Canva’s AI to add a flower crown! It’s a work in progress but it works!

4. Flodesk
Flodesk is my favorite email marketing system. It’s incredibly easy to use, aesthetic, has all of the important insights tracking and automations/workflows. My favorite part of Flodesk is the forms. You can create different lead forms that allow your audience to easily opt-in to you email list and you can indicate which segment they opt-in to. You can also create forms that pop-up on your website for opt-ins!
5. ChatGPT
This one feels so self-explanatory. AI is the present and future, and ChatGPT is your entry-level introduction to AI. Now I’ll never say use Chat and blindly copy, paste and go. I think it’s a great resource to help with your efficiency as a business owner.
You can also use it to brainstorm business planning, financial goals, travel, etc. Pretty much your second assistant (second to Honeybook) in your business!
So what is the What is the best virtual assistant platform?
I can say all day that these are the 5 platforms you HAVE to start with, but it really depends on you! The more you play around with different platforms, the more you’ll see what features you need and what you don’t necessarily need to pay for.
However, I LOVE the five listed, a.k.a. why I added “game-changing” in the title “5 game-Changing Platforms Your Virtual Assistant Business Needs”!
Hope you found this helpful! I’ll see you in the next blog!
Cheers!
